
Emilie Anne-Yvonne Luse
ABOUT Emilie Anne-Yvonne (Mimi) is an accomplished production manager, programmer, and curator with expertise in the performing arts and creative sectors, including over 10 years of experience in the art world at the Nasher Museum of Art, Christie’s Auction House, and Platform Art (David Zwirner).
Currently the Head of Program Production at the Institute for Contemporary Art at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia, she is passionate about helping organizations hone their programming and supporting artists as they realize their visions.
She holds a PhD in Art History from Duke University. An expert on the history of contemporary and modernist movements, she has written for Art in America, frieze magazine, The Brooklyn Rail, and Selva, amongst others. Luse is also a musician, known for her role in the Franco-American post-punk band Cochonne, and the industrial techno project Permanent, featured recently in a compilation called Women Invented Noise, Vol. II, issued by the UK-based label Industrial Coast. She is the creator of the No Input music series at the ICA, and runs Mode of Production recordings.
